The What, Why, Who, How and When of YourSay
What:
YourSay – an engagement platform connecting the community and the Shire through an interactive communication medium, to inform the direction of decision-making, whether project, statutory, strategic, community-driven or opinion based.
Why:
The Shire of Murray’s YourSay portal provides a platform for relevant, transparent, instantaneous and interactive consultation campaigns.
Relevant – By joining Murray’s YourSay community, you join the conversation on topics of interest to you.
Transparent and instantaneous – You can view the opinions of other users as and when they are submitted through the portal, throughout the course of a campaign. Your feedback is also sent at the click of a button or tap of a key.
You can connect with project officers, ask questions, share opinions, respond to more structured feedback such as surveys, and keep up to date with each campaign’s progress.
The portal further enables us to communicate with you to share the results of consultation campaigns i.e. you spoke, we listened and this is the result – it truly is an outcomes focussed portal.
Interactive – Like, comment, share and respond to activity within each campaign. Ask questions and engage with project officers. Need further information? The who’s listening tool communicates which Shire subject expert is available to assist.
Who:
You, Shire of Murray officers, the rest of the community.
How:
By signing up you gain full access to the portal to have YourSay on matters of importance to you. The more detailed the information you provide us when signing up, the better informed we are to let you know when a topic of relevance is seeking your input. We also encourage users to revisit the site regularly to view active campaigns and to follow us on Facebook @ShireofMurrray.
When:
Right now and into the future.
It will only get better from here. So let’s engage to progress a sustainable, prosperous future for Murray in line with our community’s needs and aspirations.
Integrated:
Feedback received through YourSay! will be complimented with that received through other offline consultation efforts including hard copy submission forms and face-to-face interactions such as workshops, forums and/or drop-in sessions.
