Consultation has concluded

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this consultation. The feedback provided will help inform a visionary masterplan for the Precinct.

Be a part of the Pinjarra Railway Precinct story.

We want to know how you'd like the Pinjarra Railway Precinct to be revitalised, resulting in improved community and visitor experiences.

Think:

  • Improving the function (how it works), useability and appearance of the Precinct
  • Identifying development opportunities for revitalisation of the Precinct, including consideration of underutilised land
  • New uses, activities and experiences that will attract visitors to Pinjarra
  • Incorporating heritage, public art and themes inspired by the Pinjarra community
  • Coordination of projects across the Precinct

How to get involved:

Consultation is currently not open but the draft masterplan will be released for feedback in mid-2021.

Precinct background:

In 1893, the railway was extended from Perth to Pinjarra catalysing the town's development and surrounding areas. Today, the Pinjarra Railway Station operates as a tourist railway and is served by Transwa’s twice-daily Australind service.

The Precinct has become a key community asset and is home to:

  • Hotham Valley Tourist Railway
  • Pinjarra Community Garden
  • Pinjarra’s Men Shed
  • DFES Bushfire Centre of Excellence (temporarily while construction is underway on its new Nambeelup facility)
